Cousin It.

In one of my more unusual  profile photos, the woman only posted a picture of the back of her head.  At least, I think it was the back of her head.  Anyway, while I was amused at the unusual nature of the photo, without an actual photo of her face, I am not inclined to inquire further.

I hope that she is trying out the site for free and not actually paying for it because she certainly isn’t taking it seriously.

Flight Attendants.

I started a dialog a few months ago with a  woman who was a flight attendant.

This was a first for me.  Her schedule only allowed for her to be home for a couple of days a week.  And, those days varied.

Soul search time.  Did I want to be with a woman who would only be home a couple of days a week?  No.  After all, this arrangement wouldn’t be much different than living alone.

So, I passed on her.

Frigged But Interested, Part 10.

Well, I picked her up for Sunday dinner and we headed for a local restaurant.  And, while the dinner time conversation was very nice, we were both looking forward to having some serious one-on-one time.

After dinner, we headed back to her house for some coffee and desert and serious conversation.  That is when we learned that we were both looking for a serious relationship and marriage.  She was relieved because she had been burned in the past and was afraid to get involved in a relationship if it wasn’t going to be serious.

Knowing this bit of information made a big difference for me.  I now understood why she was so withdrawn towards me; she was afraid of getting hurt again and since she didn’t know my true intentions, it just seemed best to be reserved.

Hopefully, this relationship can now go forward.

Frigged But Interested, Part 9.

Well, after that very cold New Years Eve, I was certain that the relationship was over, though I wasn’t sure that it actually got started.  And, when I got an email from her thanking me for the holidays, it led me to believe that she was saying good bye.

So, I was surprised when I got another email from her a couple of days later.  Frustrated, I wrote back saying that I wasn’t sure whether she really liked me.  I immediately got an email from her saying that she definitely like me and that she was very interested in a relationship with me.  And, she said that we needed to spend time talking and getting know each other.  So, we agreed to meet for dinner on Sunday and then to have some time set aside just to talk.

Well, it seems that things were starting to look up in the relationship.

Frigged But Interested, Part 8.

Well, since Sunday had gone very well, I expected the same on New Years Eve.  And, even though I would be babysitting my granddaughter, I didn’t think that it would be a problem.

As soon as my date arrived, we headed out to get a couple of movies that would be acceptable to the three of us.  When we returned, I popped in a movie and sat down on the couch.  My date, in turn, took up a position at the other end of the couch and not next to me.

Thinking that she wanted to be closer to the TV, I moved next to her.  And, all seemed OK until we were almost finished with the movie.  That is  when she decided to sit some place else.

Then, after the movie, she elected to spend time with my grand daughter.  And, that was fine I guess.  But when the ball dropped at midnight and everyone was kissing, my date was on the other side of the room and not really interested in me.

Well OK!  I guess this relationship is pretty much finished.

Frigged But Interested, Part 7.

I tossed and turned all of that night in bed.  How could she be so uninterested in me and yet, still want to be with me?  Well, since she was going to go to church with me and then have dinner with me, I figured I would end it that afternoon.

But, after dinner, she took me by surprise.  She was actually warm and affectionate.  Wow!!  Just when I thought that there was no hope for the relationship, hope magically appeared.  Maybe things would work out between us after all.

Frigged But Interested, Part 6.

Well, since she seemed so cold and since she was going to be gone for the next several days, I assumed that we were finished.  But, when she returned, she contacted me.  Well, that is nothing but confusion.  So, we decided to go out the next day.

The next day, I picked her up and we went shopping since we both had gift cards to spend.  With lunch and an afternoon of shopping behind us, we called it a day.

When I took her home, instead of the usually obligatory hug and kiss, she actually invited me into her house.  WOW!!  Maybe this relationship is actually going some place!!

When I got inside, she showed me around the house.  Then, afterwards, she offered me a seat on the sofa.  Thinking that she was going to join me, I sat in the middle.  Well, she too sat down but at the end with her feet facing me.  It was a position that would be easy to defend should I make any amorous advances.

When I saw the defensive position that she assumed, I gave it up and decided to go home.  Once again, she managed a hug and a kiss.

Frigged But Interested, Part 5.

Well, Christmas Eve came and so did my dinner guest.  But, since she had to leave early the next day for a four day trip, she only stayed for a short time.  Yet, in spite of the number of times that we had been together, she still limited our interaction to a short hug and a kiss.  And, since she was still very very cold, I decided, once again, to cut my losses and move on, as she is just not interested in me.

Frigged But Interested, Part 4.

Sunday’s arrangement was to meet at church and then have dinner at my house afterwards.  And, when we met at church, she greeted me with a hug and a kiss.  Well OK!

After church, we had dinner with her and my daughter and friend.  And, it seemed to go well.  But, after dinner, everyone left including my date.  She had things to do and couldn’t stay but said that she would be over on Christmas Eve.   Well OK!!!  She is sounding like she is actually interested in me.

Frigged But Interested, Part 3.

So, my Saturday morning phone call announced that my date had been surfing the web and had found a gift that I had been looking for.  Well, OK.  So, I felt obligated to ask her to go shopping with me once again.

And, since I had to do a lot of running around, I pick her up at her house again.  Well, we had lunch, went shopping, ate supper and then back home.  And, once again, I figured that we were finished.  But then she asked to go to church with me on Sunday.  So, once again, she seemed like she was interested in me.  And again, a forced hug and a kiss and she was out of the car.  And, I wondered what Sunday would bring.
